Bekesbourne Grave 1

The tumulus had been taken off; but, from the ground which it had occupied, it appeared to have been a pretty large one. The grave, which from the surface was about two feet and a half deep, pointed from west to east. This proved to be one of those which had been opened before, the bones lying confusedly and in all directions.
