Small tumulus. The bones were pretty perfect; the teeth were remarkably even and white; the skull had the frontal suture; the coffin had passed the fire. Near the neck were four small beads; near the hips, and rather lower down, was an iron instrument, like that described in Nos. 103, 180, of Sibertswold; another iron instrument, like that described at No. 18, etc., of Sibertswold; a small brass staple; a brass plate[M 6592]; and several links of a slender iron chain. Grave, two feet deep. A woman's grave.
