An account of my grandmother (Elizabeta Hopkins) and my mother's escape in a cattle truck from Poland.

My grandmother had no idea if her husband would come back from the war so she took her wedding tablecloth with her as a sentimental memento of him. This tablecloth is still used at family Christmas dinner every year on Wigilia (Christmas Eve).
