This story is about my father-in-law, Alfred Kemlo. He had holes in his arm, which were bullet marks, and he told us, "These are the laundry marks!" [sic]
My mother-in-law was taking care of children when my father-in-law was serving in the Army; she was working at a hotel to support her family.
