40 bone gaming pieces, some now very fragmentary, but the survivors have been skillfully made and all the same shape and size, diameter 1.7cm, and with one flat and one convex surface. 26 of them seem to have been marked, 14 of them have a pair of holes bored into the flat surface. There may originally have been more of these pieces - Faussett says irritatingly 'about 40', and notes 15 with spots on (1 more than there is now) but he may have miscounted. 40 seems a very reasonable number for such a game.Check numbers of pieces in other sets known: Cold Eaton, Staffs.: 28 variously marked on convex surface.
