A 'Timber Jill'

Betty Miller was from Cheltenham and became a Timber Jill (Women's Timber Corps) in the Forest of Dean. They did all the forestry work that was previously done by men, now conscripted into the forces. After the War she received a letter of thanks sent to the Timber Jill's and signed by Elizabeth R.
