A Reminiscence of War - the memoir of James Glass from Currie, Edinburgh, who volunteered in 1939 and served in the 552 Co of the RASC as a driver, in Palestine, the Western Desert and, as part of Kingston's column "Kingcol", relieved RAF Habbaniya in Iraq. Later that year, they were sent to Tehran before being recalled to the Western Desert where the army was retreating to Alamein. Afterwards, he served in the workshops at Abbassia Garrison in Cairo until being posted home in December 1944.
