A Close Encounter with a German Fighter

<p dir="ltr">My mother-in-law told me when she was about eight years of age, she was walking with her mother across an overground railway bridge in Plaistow London, when a German fighter shot at them. Luckily, it missed but several days later they crossed the same bridge and could see the bullet marks on the parapet.</p>
