These are photos and documents from my mother who was Gunner Skinner M W/144111. I have included the list of places where she was stationed as the radar operator - she said she spotted planes and told the guns which direction to fire. Strange to say, but she had a fantastic time in the ATS seeing so much of the country and meeting people from all over the UK. She was proposed to by 5 different men but chose to marry my father whom she had met in May 1939 at a Scout and Guiding camp! The diary includes one of the proposals as well as mention of D-Day on 6.6.44.

I've also included photos of her ATS life.
