98: Rose and James Sellwood (embroidered cloth; photograph)

online resource

This framed embroidered cloth, with photo of my grandparents, Rose and James Sellwood (in uniform), hangs on the wall in my dining room at home. I found the cloth, which was bought/brought back from somewhere in France, folded in an old box. I framed it so as to protect it and give it prominent place.

My grandfather, James Sellwood, was in the Oxford Bucks. He, along with his 6 brothers, all survived the war and came home - a very rare story.
