Albert Kellaway joined up as soon as his family learned of the death of his brother William. The family found this very hard to understand. Albert joined the Wiltshire Regiment in November 1916. He was involved in the Battle of Arras and killed in action on 9th April 1917 Age 27. Although at the time a letter was sent to his parents saying they were not sure what had happened to Albert. Albert attended Grenade Training and his detailed note book has been kept by the family.
