90: James Sellwood (medals, watch, photographs)

online resource
posted on 2024-01-11, 15:27 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

This box contains the war medals, photograph, and watch of my grandfather, James Sellwood. The watch was carried with him throughout the war (the watch face, which was gone, has been recently replaced).

He served with the Oxford Bucks. He, along with his 6 brothers, all survived the war and returned home. My granddad never talked about the war to his children or grandchildren.

This box hung on the wall of the side room in our home.
