8918: Ernest John Trebble

Ernest is Jillian's grandmother's nephew/first cousin. Ernest was born in 1894 in St James Somerset the son of John & Ellen Trebble, a Groom. In 1911 Ernest was living with his parents in Wood Street, Taunton, Somerset as a Shop Assistant. He was their only child. At the time he joined the army, 8th November 1915, he was a Motor Driver and was unmarried. He was a Private serving with the Army Service Corps, regimental number M2/147135. He died 1st October 1916 from Blackwater Fever in Hairobe East Africa, and is buried in Morogoro Cemetery, Tanzania. The items Jillian brought in to be recorded were all found in her grandmother's house when they cleared the house after her death. Ernest's father had the memorial card printed and the photos are of Ernest with his mother.
