Manuscript in pencil with corrections in Ivor Gurney's hand of a poem later titled 'Interval'. Another manuscript draft, under this later title, was included in a letter of 27th August to Marion Scott'. However, it was sent to John Haines under the first title in a letter received 11 September 1918.

Manuscript in pencil in Ivor Gurney's hand. Continuation of 'Mangle-Hoeing' [later titled 'Interval'], here dated 'St Albans / August 1918'. This poem was included in a letter of 27th August to Marion Scott. 'From the Window' was included in a letter to John Haines received 11 September 1918. Included in 'War's Embers' (1919). Written while Gurney was a patient at the Middlesex War Hospital. Found in a coverless notebook used by Gurney from late August to mid-September 1918.
