8684: Margaret 'Daisy' Pratt, Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse

online resource
posted on 2024-01-12, 12:10 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

Daisy was a VAD nurse at Hill House Hospital. Her family owned 'Pratts' the chemist in the market square, Warwick. She lived on Smith Street and died in Bridge End cottages. She did not talk about her wartime experiences. The contributor found the item among Daisy's possessions after her death.

The contributor felt honoured to have a book of memories of soldiers and her great aunt. The contributor remembers Daisy as a kind 'lady', and recalls having tea with her when a child.
