8354: William Elliott - Jerusalem at the Armistice

Served with the Devon F Royal Engineers and served in Palestine and Jerusalem. He was in Jerusalem when the armistice was signed and the inscription inside the Jerusalem Bible was written at the same too and dedicated to his daughter, Winifred (Colin's mother). Colin was a fire watcher in the second world war and worked for the council for the remainder of his life; helping to rebuild Plymouth in the 1950s.
