online resource
posted on 2024-01-17, 13:35 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

Edgar Charles Smith was a member of the Royal Army Medical Corps serving in Mesopotamia. He never spoke about his experience and military records caught fire so the army no. and parts of the story have been lost. Enrolled 03.04.1915 and was demobilised 06.10.1919. He worked for the railway for many years.

Large collection of photographs which Edgar took, of which quite a lot were recreational. Photographs of regiment and field hospital. Whilst on active service Edgar created an embroidery which Neil hopes to upload himself.
