<p dir="ltr">Douglas George McLennan was my great uncle. He was born on 29/05/1895 at Banchory Ternan, Kincardineshire, Scotland, the son of William McLennan and Mary Black McLennan née McGillivray. They lived at Rosebank Cottage, Banchory Ternan.</p><p dir="ltr">Douglas George McLennan was in the Gordon Highlanders with service numbers 3505 and 290867. He went to France on 04/12/1915 and was discharged on 31/04/1919.</p><p dir="ltr">His brothers Sidney Charles, William and James Alexander also served in the war. William died but the others survived.</p>
