7531: Ted Carter

online resource
posted on 2024-01-18, 16:32 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

Edward Carter (my mother's father), who was conscripted at 18 from South Wales where his family were all miners.

Luckily for him the war ended within a short time of him arriving in France - so no stories, except that he had seen quite enough of 'abroad' so refused ever to go again.
