<p dir="ltr">My father Alfred Albert Swainsbury was born in 1912. As a five year old, he was present at a Zeppelin raid in Bethnel Green in 1917. The shock of the incendiary bomb struck him dumb, and he had a stammer for the rest of his life.</p>
