7300: A Neath nurse and a Royal Welsh Fusilier

Mona Beryl Rogers was born on the 5th February 1896. She was educated at Neath County Grammar School. She joined up early on in the war and worked as a nurse at Neath Hospital.

David Richard Howells had been at school with Mona and joined up at a similar time. He served in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers and survived the war. He spent a year in the Indian Army and carried out legal work during the Second World War. Mona and David married after the war.
