online resource
posted on 2024-01-12, 12:10 authored by Lest We Forget Project Team

Thomas Maslen (born 1884) served in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He enlisted in 1917 because he was a surveyor by trade. He was tasked with finding the placement of guns. He had very little direct contact to close-range shooting.

Thomas did not really talk about the war. He was promoted to Lieutenant during the war, and he retired in 1922. He died in 1962.
