E. F. Haselden (born Dec 1898) joined the Artists Rifles in 1916. Eric came from a middle-class family and grew up in Ticehurst, Keny and Alexandria, Egypt. His father owned a company.
Eric stayed in the RAF after the war but left to run the family business in Egypt. He served in the Second World War as part of the Desert Rats (he was too old for the RAF).
