John Edward Brooks is Juliet Brooks' father in law. He was born in 1892 and died in 1974, and was from Lincolnshire. In the First World War, Brooks received the 1914-15 Star Medal, the British War Medal 1914-1920 and the First World War Victory Medal. He also served in the Second World War and was awarded the African Star, the Defence Medal and War Medal. Lastly, Brooks was given the General Service Medal (Army and RAF) 1945-46.
