Manuscript in red and black ink in Edmund Blunden's hand. Corrections in a slightly different shade of ink. The poem was eventually published in 'Poetica', Vol.1, No. 3, April 1925; 'Masks of Time', June 1925 (revised); and 'Undertones of War' (1928).
