Manuscript in red and black ink in Edmund Blunden's hand. Published in 'Masks of Time' (1925) and 'Undertones of War' (1928). 'Zero' is F. W. Worley's expression, and appears again in 'Come On, My Lucky Lads'. Describes the first moments of the attack on Hamel, 3 September 1916.
