Inscription in Edmund Blunden's hand providing the heading 'Some Pictures to Accompany 'Undertones of War', including an a brief explanation of how certain postcards and photographs came to be included. The book was compiled by Blunden with the intention of providing complementary photographs supporting the narrative and poems of 'Undertones of War' (1928), and was inscribed 'E.B. New Year, 1935' while Blunden was living in North Oxford, a neighbour of Graham Greene.
