68372: Edmund Blunden Visiting Battlefields

Photograph of Edmund Blunden consulting a diary at a battlefield near Grootebeek. Photograph taken by Edmund's daughter Margi Blunden on a visit. They stayed at Skindles Hotel in Poperinghe. Blunden spent time there during a relatively quiet period in the sector in the first half of 1917 leading up to the battle of Passchendaele, and again in August of the same year.
