Manuscript in pen in Marion Scott's hand with corrections in red ink by Ivor Gurney. From the 'Hospital Pictures' series. After a draft included in a letter of 3rd January 1918 to Scott. Gurney noted that this poem was 'Best poem on Music'. Included in 'War's Embers' (1919).
