Manuscript in pen in Marion Scott's hand. Ivor Gurney makes reference to the poem in a letter of 8th August 1917, but sends another draft on 14th August 1918 to Scott. Also found in the black manuscript notebook 52.7. Gurney and Scott corrected the date on various copies. Included in 'War's Embers' (1919).
