Typescript with pen corrections in blue and red ink in an unknown hand, prepared by Marion Scott, and possibly amongst those poems submitted to and rejected by the firm Sidgwick and Jackson in 1922. Some lines of the poem appear in another poem written by Ivory Gurney entitled 'Aeroplanes Over Aubers'. A version similar to this one also appears in an earlier notebook. This version of the poem, with some alterations to punctuation, was included in P.J. Kavanagh's 'Ivor Gurney: Collected Poems' (2004).
