Typescript of poem without any alterations prepared by Marion Scott, and possibly amongst those poems submitted to and rejected by the firm Sidgwick and Jackson in 1922. Numerous versions of the poem survive, and this one may have been supervised by the poet Edmund Blunden. A similar version to the one shown here was included in P.J. Kavanagh's 'Ivor Gurney: Collected Poems' (2004).
