<p dir="ltr">Manuscript in pen in Marion Scott's hand. After a pencil draft included in a letter of 12th October 1917 to Scott, with minor variations. Further corrections included in a letter of 16th October 1917 to Scott. Written while Ivor Gurney was a patient at Bangour War Hospital. Included in 'War's Embers' (1919).</p>
