<p dir="ltr">Typescript of poem with alterations in pen prepared by Marion Scott, and possibly amongst those poems submitted to and rejected by the firm Sidgwick and Jackson in 1922. Various versions of the poem survive. This version was initially published in 'The London Mercury' in 1924, and differs substantially from the one that was included in P.J. Kavanagh's 'Ivor Gurney: Collected Poems' (2004).</p>
