61108: Envelope addressed to Frank Dowdeswell from E. Pritchard

This is an envelope which was originally sent by Ethel Pritchard to her sweetheart Frank Dowdeswell, 7th Batt. Buffs Reg.t, B. E. Force, France - but which has been re-directed to numerous military hospitals in England, including Cheltenham where Ethel and Frank lived. The dates on the postmarks are from August-September 1918.

Ethel and Frank were the parents of Pam Hyett.

Part of a collection relating to the service of Frank (7th Buffs) and Bob (Army Service Corps) Dowdeswell, of Shaw Green, Prestbury, nr Cheltenham. Bob died in April 1917 after a lorry accident.
