Photograph of Sid Jeeves (Service Number 93922) of the Royal Army Medical Corps, inscribed on the back "Yours ever Sid x". He was promoted to corporal in November 1914, and then to acting sergeant a week later, with the promotion being confirmed the following year. He contracted malaria in East Africa, and was subsequently appointed medical orderly on a ship (possibly a troop ship) sailing to Bombay. After six hours in Bombay, he was appointed to another ship sailing back to East Africa. Part of a collection relating to Sid Jeeves.
