A series of sketches sent home from France by my grandfather W.G.Vernon whilst serving in the 11th Battalion The Lancashire Fusiliers September 1917 and May 1918. Also from the east coast of England with the 11th Batallion Bedfordshire Regiment, June 1916 to September 1917, as well as when prisoner of war in Germany July 1918 until January 1919. Vernon William was from Southfield Road, Cowley.

Vernon William was from Southfield Road, Cowley. Left page inscribed 'Fulham Hospital', right page two sketches of a soldier (patient?).
