61075: Photograph of William Owen sent to Mother

Private 3134 William William Owen, 1st Bn. Welsh Guards, was killed in action 20th September 1917, aged 41. The husband of Asneth Owen, of Pembroke House, Penygroes, Carnarvonshire, he is buried in Canada Farm Cemetery. The 1st Bn., part of the Guards Division, was taking part in the Battle of the Menin Road, third phase of the Third Battle of Ypres.
