60967: Official notification of the death of Private Evan Hawkes

Official notification, issued by the Infantry Records, York, of the death of Private Evan Hawkes of the 9th Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry, in action in France, on 21st July 1918. The reverse side bears a note saying that any property belonging to the deceased will be forwarded to the office issuing the notification, but that there is likely to be some delay.
