Pocket New Testament, name inscribed inside is Pte Frank George Dowdeswell, 13550 8th Gloucestershire Regiment. Pressed flowers were inserted between the pages.

Part of a collection relating to the service of Frank (7th Buffs) and Bob (Army Service Corps) Dowdeswell, of Shaw Green, Prestbury, nr Cheltenham. Bob died in April 1917 after a lorry accident.
