Front cover and flyleaf of a soldier's pocket Bible. Printed on the cover in gold is: ' "Active Service" Testament 1914'. The left-hand page of the flyleaf bears a message from Lord Roberts beginning "I ask you to put your trust in God. " The right-hand page is inscribed: "From the Rev. C. Moore [or possibly Moon] Rector of Trusthorpe 1914." and then, in a different hand: "To J W[?] Wray 1050 D Coy". Part of a collection relating to Robert Rafton, deposited by his great-niece.
