60784: Letter from POW camp from 2nd Lt Charles E. Carr

Lt C. E. Carr, 20th London Regiment (my grandfather) was taken prisoner south of St Quentin on March 23rd 1918. This is an image of one of his letters to his fiancee Connie Barry, and an image of a typed transcript.

Second Lieutenant Charles E. Carr, 20th (Blackheath and Woolwich) bN. London Regiment, began the war as a Private in the 16th (Queen's Westminster Rifles) Bn. London Regiment (Service no. 3278, later 550880).
