60761: Photograph of Private Frederick Herbert Glew

online resource
posted on 2024-02-23, 23:00 authored by Great War Archive Project Team

A damaged photo of my grandfather and the digital repair. He survived the war and died in 1942. I only know that he was at the Somme and may have been gassed but know no other information.

Editor's Comment:
Pte. Glew is wearing the belt from the Pattern 1888 (Slade Wallace) equipment, and has cloth shoulder titles indicating his unit, but unfortunately, these cannot be read.
