No 1923 PTE Jones ET Born January 3rd 1882.. died 1963 1st/3rd County of London Yeomanry Sharp Shooters 1st Troop C Squadron Egyptian Expeditionary Force. June 1916 Imperial Camel Corps NO 1923 PTE ET Jones 9th Company Imperial Camel Corps Yeomanry Reserve Egyptian Expeditionary Force Out of action after accident on camel called 'Old Sambo' June 1917. also believed to have suffered Malaria, declared unfit for active service. He stayed in Egypt for the duration of the war carrying out admin duties on a prisioner of war camp Ras-el-Tin at Alexandria . The camp changed its name to The Aliens Internment Camp on March 16th 1917.
