Card from The 2/5th Battalion, The Gloucestershire Regiment Association, 23rd Re-Union Dinner at Star Hotel Cheltenham, Saturday October 13th 1951.

This is just one menu card from the many reunions attended by Charles W. Carr before his death in a car accident 18 Sept 1965 at Wickhamford, Worcestershire. He had moved to Llandrindod Wells after the war, then moved to Broadway Worcestershire in 1953.

This menu card is autographed by friends, and has a pressed flower attached. This card, like all the others, includes the poem "Here's a health to every brother in arms" by 2nd Liet. F.W. Harvey, DCM of 2/5 Glo'shire Regt. Tony Carr, Charles' son, recalls that sons were allowed to attend these reunions - which he did do.

Part of large collection of photos and memoribilia relating to Serjeant 3091 (later 240965) Charles Woodward Carr, 2/5th Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment - kept by Mrs Gill Porter and Mr Tony Carr of their father.
