The card was designed by my great-grandfather WG Dundas as the Christmas 'postcard' for the Royal Flying Corps, 82nd Squadron, in 1917. The design is taken from a photograph he took of another plane during a reconnaissance mission. The reverse reads:
"Dear Mother, Wishing you and Father and all the family the best wishes for Xmas and New Year. I designed the card. Best of love, yours affectionately, Bill."
