58632: Ministry of Pensions Letter to the widow of William Ernest Moon

Letter from the Ministry of Pensions to the widow of Willam Moon, regarding the payment of her Widow's Pension. Mrs. Moon had six children (one posthumous, born in January 1918: her husband died in October, 1917). The eldest girl, Lilian, left school and went to work to help support her siblings.


Editor's Comment:
Airman 1st Class 18772 William Ernest Moon, Royal Flying Corps, Egyptian Expeditionary Force, died on 11th October 1917, and is buried in Alexandrian (Hadra) War Memorial Cemetary.
