Last letter home of Sgt. H. Godfrey, who was killed in action, 17th February 1917, and is buried in plot IX, row A, grave 2, Regina Trench Cemetery near Albert on the Somme. With a short descriptive piece written by his nephew, Mr. A. Godfrey.

Editors Comment: From Commonwealth War Graves Commission records: Sgt. H D Godfrey, 51841, 11th Bn. Royal Fusiliers, age 21, was the son of Mrs. Martha W. Godfrey, of 59, Lime Walk, Highfield, Oxford.
