Geoffrey Spencer is front row, 2nd left, with comrades
Possibly taken after becoming an officer.
Lance Corporal?
Tom and Geoffrey were fighting together and the story goes that they drew lots to see who would go on leave and Geoffrey won. As he left Tom was killed. Mrs Spencer's health deteriorated during the great war as she had 5 sons fighting.
