Another card from Sarah to her mother, also Sarah Lynn. She had been to visit her mother, and returned by train to Spalding. Her husband Ted was away in the army.
She wrote "Dear Mother & all. Arrived quite safe, it has been raining here most of the day, there was a P.C. under the door from Ted, he is well & he gets more food now he says. I asked for my 3d at the station and he said he knew me again. We are (Mrs Frost & I) going to fetch a little fish for supper. Give my love to Uncle. Fondest Love to Ruth & all. Love Sarah.
Tell Robert& John the parcel will be in the lavatory if they come to town tomorrow.
Are you lonely without me. I feel lonely."
